Por: Alexis Paredes, y Daniel Alva, Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN), Cajamarca.AbstractThe objective of this work was to determine the water-bearing potential of the lithostratigraphic units in Agocucho (Cajamarca), using the method of vertical electrical sounding (VES), which was applied using the Schlumberger configuration to determine the resistivity and delineate the aquifer, which will allow wells to be drilled for groundwater extraction. Seven VES were carried out in the study area, the data obtained was analyzed using IPI2WIN software, which identified three geoelectric layers. The aquifer potential is found in geoelectric layer 2 with resistivity from 216 Ω.m to 302.83 Ω.m at shallow depths between 25 m to 85 m, correlating with the local geology as alluvial deposits.
