In 2012 we began implementing a safety management model aligned with the best world-class management practices. During this stage, Volcan's OHS Management Model was consolidated, which focused on the development of leaders to strengthen their competencies, expected behaviors, their responsibility as the line of command in safety and their visible commitment in operations to strengthen the concepts of operational discipline at all levels of the organization. In 2018, Volcan adopts the Trabajo Seguro (Safe Work) program, incorporating into Volcan's OHS management model the best practices that were established as a result of lessons learned from fatal accidents at all of Glencore's global mining operations. In order to align the implementation process, a series of activities were developed, which focused on: Analysis of results in mining units of the Trabajo Seguro program. Continuous improvement of the Trabajo Seguro program, evolving to the Trabajo Seguro 2.0 program. Baseline diagnosis and measurement of performance expectations of the Trabajo Seguro 2.0 program. Development of a plan to close the gaps identified in the baseline diagnosis of performance expectations. Update of the Trabajo Seguro 2.0 program on a continuous improvement approach of Plan, Do, Check and Act (PDCA) simplified by nine elements, which underpinned on the basis of leadership, ensure the evolution of the safety culture, and a process for successful implementation of the strategy of Safety and Health at Work in Volcan. Implementation of nine elements of Trabajo Seguro 2.0: Safety Leadership, Risk Management, Safe Work Planning, Fatal Hazard Protocols and Safety Standards, Life Saving Behaviors, Operational Safety, Incident Reporting and Investigation, Assurance, Action Closure and Incorporation of Lessons Learned. les se enfocaron en: Análisis de los resultados en las unidades mineras del programa Trabajo Seguro. Mejora continua del programa Trabajo Seguro, evolucionando al programa Trabajo Seguro 2.0. Diagnóstico de línea base y medición de expectativas de desempeño del programa Trabajo Seguro 2.0. Desarrollo del plan de cierre de brechas, identificadas en el diagnóstico de línea base de las expectativas de desempeño.
