MINERÍA la mejor puerta de acceso al sector minero EDICIÓN 573 / JUNIO 2025 52 Operaciones Mineras Abstract Given the current situation and post-COVID-19 scenario, it is essential to adopt Collaborative and Integrated Project Management strategies. This article is the result of the application of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the design stage of a project to replace critical equipment during a shutdown at a copper (Cu) concentrator plant for Sociedad Minera El Brocal, a mining operation located in Cerro de Pasco, Peru. Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) is an innovative Collaborative Project Management methodology developed by the Center for Integrated Facilities Engineering (CIFE) at Stanford University, USA, which maximizes project success through collaboration and integration of people with Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE), processes with Project Production Management (PPM), and technology with Building Information Modeling (BIM). The research arises from the need to improve value in project delivery and achieve high internal customer satisfaction among operations and maintenance MAXIMIZANDO VALOR CON VDC/BIM EN PROYECTOS DE PARADAS DE PLANTA
