MINERÍA la mejor puerta de acceso al sector minero EDICIÓN 587 / AGOSTO 2026 52 ESG PODEROSA IMPULSA UNA HERRAMIENTA INNOVADORA PARA CERRAR LAS BRECHAS DE TRIPLE IMPACTO EN EL DISTRITO DE PATAZ Abstrac The district of Pataz, located in the La Libertad Region of Peru, continues to face persistent gaps in healthcare, education, connectivity, and environmental sustainability, despite having a relatively high per capita income compared with other rural areas, supported by mining and agricultural activities. However, income varies significantly across localities, widening internal inequalities within the district. In response, local stakeholders have adopted a governance strategy based on science, technology, and innovation, drawing on the Missions approach. This approach was adopted to facilitate co-creation with local stakeholders, endorsed by the community, and institutionalized by the Municipal Government through the district’s 2022-2030 Concerted Local Development Plan. The plan includes Roadmaps with indicators (KPI) and objectives (OKR) that make it possible to measure the territory’s collaborative progress.
