MINERÍA la mejor puerta de acceso al sector minero EDICIÓN 583 / ABRIL 2026 58 Minería 4.0 Abstract This paper develops a technical model integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced numerical simulation, and the use of the specialized software Mastin Blasting to optimize the geomechanical design of blasting operations in surface and underground mining. This process makes it possible to reduce vibration levels, improve fragmentation, prevent structural damage to the rock mass, and reduce operating costs. Through rock mass characterization, modeling blasting behavior using Flac3D and Rhino software, and training AI models in Python, a predictive system has been developed capable of suggesting optimal blasting parameters in real time, thereby contributing to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable operations.
