Por: Iván Salas, Hudbay Perú y Abdhiel Bustamante, Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco.AbstractCorrelation analyses are carried out based on the diversity indexes of revegetated areas within the progressive closure processes in the Constancia Mining Unit, province of Chumbivilcas, Cusco region. These indices were correlated with the values of vegetation cover and Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI), the former being the value considered within the commitments assumed in the closure processes. An almost null correlation was found between vegetation cover and diversity indices, while the correlation between NDVI and diversity indices was positive, which would allow the richness, abundance and diversity of species in the evaluated areas within progressive closure processes to be characterized and monitored over long periods of time using the Normalized Vegetation Index method.
