This paper presents the Social Commitments Management System (hereinafter, SIGCOS), implemented by Compañía Minera Antamina (hereinafter, Antamina), as a tool for developing a strategy that integrates traceability, territorial planning, and operational efficiency in demanding social and environmental contexts.

SIGCOS enables social commitments to be classified, planned, implemented, monitored, and closed based on technical, financial, and territorial criteria, strengthening accountability to the State, corporate partners, and communities.

Internally, the system optimizes budget planning, the assignment of responsibilities, and the technical feasibility of social investment associated with commitments. Tools derived from the SIGCOS matrix, including the management and operational dashboard, repository, and toolkit, have institutionalized commitments management, enabling informed decision-making, ensuring sustainability, and strengthening the company’s operational legitimacy in the territory.
