Por: Roger Chávez Calsin, Planner Programador, Southern Perú.AbstractKnowing the equipment in a tailings treatment plant and its spare parts is a key part of maintenance management. Having this information is a big help in understanding the equipment, both in terms of how it works and its parts, as well as in managing spare parts and pending work (backlog). It's even better if this information can be accessed from a tablet or cell phone.Through the use of IT tools such as Power Apps, SharePoint, and Power Automate, an application was developed for personnel directly responsible for equipment assessment and repair, as well as for maintenance planning and scheduling personnel, called “Soporte Mantenimiento Quebrada Honda” or “SMQH” version 2.0.One of the main objectives of SMQH 2.0 is to increase the ratio of scheduled maintenance orders to total maintenance orders by 6% by the end of 2023 and 10% by 2024, providing maintenance personnel with information on equipment and repair procedures when they need it. The information is modified and/or updated by maintenance personnel (maintenance supervisors) and planning personnel (scheduler and planner). The application developed contains information regarding equipment parts manual, list of materials and critical parts, general list of equipment, creation of backlog by supervision, list of backlog status. The operation and maintenance manuals are basically information from the manufacturer, the list of materials are documents developed by planning for the execution of preventive activities, the general list of equipment contains the description of the operational or inoperative status, the backlogs register contains information regarding the results of scheduled inspections with the support of supervision. This feedback is of great importance for planning personnel. The SMQH application, which can be used on desktop PCs, cell phones, or tablets, was implemented in early 2022 in version 1.0, designed exclusively for order registration. Version 2.0 was implemented in early 2023 and is currently in operation.Due to its scope and easy accessibility, the application continues to be developed with possible versions that include real-time information through PI Systems and SAP ERP.
