Marañón, through the utilization of parameter "b". This parameter refers to the fact that high values (>3) indicate a predominance of low magnitude microseismic events, suggesting low rupture strength and a higher incidence of microseismic events. Conversely, low values of "b" (<3) represent high-magnitude events, indicating high rupture strength and a lower incidence of such events (Warren & Latham, 1970). Both indicators could signal changes in the elastic properties of the medium and serve as a statistical prediction parameter. Therefore, in this research, the author aims to demonstrate a direct relationship between the parameter "b", Mw values, and the return period of microseismic events in volumes where data from the microseismic monitoring system are collected.
