Under the chairmanship of Architect Eva Arias of Sologuren, the first woman to lead the mining convention since its creation in 1954, from September 18th to 22nd, the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) will organize the 33rd edition of PERUMIN at the campus of the National University of San Agustin (UNSA), in Arequipa, with the slogan "Mining: Competitiveness and Sustainability".

I What are the goals for this edition of PERUMIN?

In the first instance, we want to show an ideal platform to align the companies, communities, civil society and government perspectives on the vital importance of mining industry with a view to the bicentennial of the Independence of Peru.

Also, we aim to present the latest technological advances and innovative mining services, designed to achieve a greater productivity with operational safety and environmental care, according to national and international standards.

In the same way, to reinforce the message that mining not only involves the mobilization of capital and machinery, but it is a sector that promotes the development, with and integrative power that engages to countless productive and service activities, adding value and creating decent jobs.
