For the second time in a row, the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) organizes PERUMIN Mining Convention in the facilities of the National University of San Agustin (UNSA), which confirms the commitment of the organization to link the academy with companies in order to create synergies for the development of the sector and the country.

In order to know the contribution of the 33rd edition of PERUMIN to this university, the region and the country, among other aspects, we spoke with the president of the IIMP, Eng. Victor Gobitz, who reveals that the contribution goes beyond material aspects and aims to generate added value in terms of knowledge and research. 

What contribution receives UNSA as PERUMIN venue?

The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers will contribute with more than 3.2 million soles for the improvement of the infrastructure of this renowned institution, and will promote the creation of the first International Mining Research Center, which will be implemented by UNSA with the advice of Lulea University of Technology, Sweden.

But that is not all, we will also encourage the analysis and discussion of the mining situation with the presentation of four publications on the contributions and challenges of the sector.
