The 33rd edition of the Mining Convention, today known as PERUMIN, organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) in Arequipa, this time takes place in a favorable international context for minerals prices, starting to see a period of recovery for the global mining industry. This is a challenge for our country and it is a great opportunity to make the most of this new scenario. In that sense, we must work in order to be increasingly competitive and attract as much mining investment as possible, thus generating sustainable development.Beyond the steps that have been taken over the past few months, it is essential to review and correct, in the short term, the number of existing procedures required to implement projects and the expansion of operations, which clearly is detrimental to the development of Peruvian mining, as well as to ensure that all engineering studies, without haste, ensure respect for environmental conservation for the sake of future generations.
