Abstract

Pan American Silver Huarón has decided to invest U$S 4.3 million in ventilation infrastructure for the execution of Raise Boring chimneys that will be executed in the different circuits of the mine, which will provide sustainability to the mining, deepen the ramps to lower levels and expand the horizons of the mine.

With the new circuits operating, the Huarón mine will have reduced the resistances of the ventilation circuits, therefore, it will be able to subsequently work on controlling and reducing ventilation energy consumption.

The organization has determined to apply a stricter international standard than the Peruvian standard, with no penalties for mechanical availability or utilization, which is a much greater challenge for the mine, but is linked to the levels of investment that senior management has approved for the new infrastructure.
