These are associated with calc-alkaline magmatic activity between 15Ma to 13.5Ma, which were located in a regional tectonic wedge at a transpressive regime.Cerro Corona is an Au-rich porphyry-type Cu deposit, where only 500 meters of the porphyry system has been mined and explored, still having a high exploratory and mining potential. The unconventional reinterpretation and vectoring of the 3D geological models together with modern deep IP & Magneto Telluric (MT) studies, helped to define 8 drill targets. In the last campaign, 11,665m was completed in two targets. Being the eastern-wall target the one that incorporated, in 2019, the main Au and Cu resources. In the open pit, as of December 2019, there are mineral resources within the cone in the order of 107.22 Mt @ 0.58 g/t Au and 0.36 % Cu, which correspond to an increase of 3%, which could extend the mine life until 2032.
