Por: Kellyn Cristóbal Paredes, director de Planeamiento y Rudy Beltrán Villanueva, jefe de Geomecánica, Compañía de Minas Buenaventura.AbstractThis paper shows the improvements made in our mining operations with regard to reducing accidents that have been occurring in various mines nationwide, related to the use of gauges to control the thickness of shotcrete (sprayed concrete), where personnel are exposed to the line of fire when the concrete is still in the process of setting to achieve initial bearing strengths.In response to this problem, an automated mechanism has been designed that is adapted to the shotcrete robot equipment, which eliminates personnel exposure during this process and also ensures the quality of the shotcrete thickness applied in mining operations.
